vacuum not workin. URGENT HELP!!!!!?
Monday, December 28th, 2009i own a Bissell powerforce bagless vacuum cleaner. the chamber is not filling with any dirt or debris. i’ve checked the hose and unclogged it, but it’s still not filling and is barely picking up any debris. how do i fix this?
Bissell has one place that things get stuck in. Doesn’t matter what model you have; it’s the same place. And you have already cleared a clog and I’ll bet you didn’t get it all.
First unplug the sweeper. Lay the unit on it’s back on the floor. Pull out the little tray below the dirt cup that holds the sponge filter. Take it all the way out. Get a flashlight and look way back in the space you removed that tray from. I’ll bet there is something hung up back there. Either stick your fingers in there (only works if you have little long hands) or a pair of needle nose pliers and pull out all debris stuck back there. Tissues and the type of wrappers that come on microwave popcorn are two of the materials that get stuck back there.
Clean out the filter while you have it out, replace, and try the unit. That should take care of your issue. Be more careful what you suck up in the machine in the future and you won’t have clogs. Empty the dirt cup when it’s 1/2 full for best performance.
