Bissell Vacuum Cleaners

i took out the brush roll, cleaned it out, changed the broken belt exactly as it says to, replaced the brush roll… and it’s stuck.. it says it should spin freely. anyone familiar with this? is the vacuum just shot or can this somehow be repaired??

You could have it repaired at an authorized Bissell repair center. But it sounds like the bearings that allow the brush roll (beater bar) to go around have seized up for some reason. And it’s likely to cost you more than getting a new vacuum if this one is more than a few years old.
