Does anyone own a Spot Bot by Bissell?

I bought one around 6 months ago, and now it smells terrible whenever I got to use it. I rinse out the dirty tank every time, and clean the vacuum head, but it smells that straight ammonia and it’s terrible! I can hardly stand to use it, it smells so bad. I use it to clean up after my dogs. Does anyone know what I can do?

put baking soda in it and water and let it sit a while, that should help with the smell. if not you can try pine sol and water it down a tad, that should help improve the smell. also leave it opened up as much as possible, to let it air dry out. keeping it closed up and tight is why the smells have built up. i had a similiar problem with another cleaner machine i had and the pine sol worked great for me.
