Any thoughts on a Bissell Vacuum Cleaner? How is its performance?

As for us, we have the Panasonic and love it! The bypass motor means that if you suck up stuff, it won’t ruin the motor. Ours is 10 yrs. old and still going strong. The Panasonic brand has always performed superiorly. It has never needed servicing – ever.
We would also consider the Miele. If you have to order online, that’s ok or go to a special vacuum store. The crap they have at the local discount stores is NOT worth the money.
